What was your experience in the 10th like?
|
Rupert von Trapp was a medic. He had to learn to evacuate men using simulation with litters, basket litters, toboggans, jeeps and weasels.
Medics wore large helmets with red crosses on all sides. They were unarmed and carried 2 aid packs, which made treating men on site and moving them difficult and dangerous.
He was the first 10th Mountain Division Surgeon General.
