Importance of Vermont
|
"I didn't live in Vermont at the time, but moved there after the War for the winter, the mountains, some 10th Mountain friends and a job at Middlebury College…I taught my four children to ski as soon as they could walk. The whole family took x-c ski trips together frequently. Some of us raced x-c and downhill. We moved to Stowe, ran a school at the bottom of the mountain and ran a winter mountaineering program there."
