History

Tulip Tree Inn in Chittenden only appears in one 1979 cross country directory entry (listing above).  A 1987 Washington Post article lists Tulip Tree Inn as part of the Country Inns Along the Trail network of eight inns along with places like Blueberry Hill, Tucker Hill, and Churchill House--while this article is specifically regarding hiking with Country Inns Along the Trail Nordic programs also skied along the trail in the winter--though by the time of this article Tulip Tree Inn was not listed among the inns that maintain their owned groomed trail networks.  

Today, the Tulip Tree Inn operates as the Fox Creek Inn; no cross country is offered.
