"Trail Head, Stockbridge 05772.  Tel. 746-8038.  A wide variety of terrain through the White River Valley provides a large network of easy trails along the valley floor and moderate to very difficult trails into the hills above... 40 km machine tracked, 10 km groomed skating lanes, 20 km marked outlying trails, 60 km total trails.  800' low elevation, 1800' high elevation.  Nordic instruction, rental shop, retail sales, equiptment repairs, cafe/restaurant, nearby lodging, ski packages, telemark instruction, headlamp tours, guided tours.  $8.00 weekend trail fee."  -Vermont Cross Country, 1990

Trail Head Ski Touring Center in Stockbridge, Vt. was listed in cross country directories as early as 1982 and was run by Brian Bry through its close in 1993.  They offered 60 km of trails in the White River Valley as well as rentals, retail, repair, tours, instruction, and dining options. 

Trail Head is no longer in operation.
