History

Sugarbush Inn's ski touring center was listed in directories as early as 1971. Operating at Sugarbush alpine area, the ski touring center offered 60 km of trails as well as lodging, instruction, rentals and tours, among other amenities. Bill Samuels and Bob Law and Jim Despres were all listed as operators. According to Gene Foley, Jim Despres stopped operations at Sugarbush Inn in 1997 when he and a friend took over Ole's Cross Country Center, although Sugarbush Inn continued to be listed in cross country directories through 2001.

Today, Sugarbush still operates as a popular resort and alpine area though no cross country skiing is offered.
