History

Sherman Hollow Touring Center was listed in brochures between 1981 and 1993.  From the start, Sherman Hollow offered 40 km of trails and 3.5 km of night skiing.  In 1988 the Vermont Enviromental Board denied a request by Sherman Hollow to develop an 18-hole golf course on Sherman Hollow Rd. because of the pesticide use that would accompany the maintainance of a golf course.

Sherman Hollow closed sometime between 1993 and 2000 and was reopened in 2000 by the Enman family as Sleepy Hollow.  30 miles of ski trails are now open for mountain biking and cross country skiing.  Today Sleepy Hollow Inn Ski and Bike Center offers 35 km of nordic trails for classic and skate skiing, night skiing, and snowshoing.
