Nordic Adventures was listed in cross country directories from 1982 through 1984 and then appeared in a 1990 directory under inn-to-inn and guided tours. Little information is available about Nordic Adventures. Its 1984 entry, currently the only full listing available, lists 100 km of total trails.

Because Nordic Adventures is only listed in three directories as a touring area, it seems unlikely that it had such an extensive independantly owned trail network that simple appeared and disappeared in a period of three years. This notion, and Nordic Adventures 1990 resurgance as an inn-to-inn/guided touring guide, makes it plausible that Nordic Adventures was never an independent trail system but rather offered tours on one or more existing networks as a cooperating partner.

Similarly, the thirteenth edition of Christina Tree and Rachel Carter's Explorer's Guide Vermont published in 2012 includes a listing for Nordic Adventures that reads: "Nordic Adventures (802-767-3272; vt-nordicadventures.com), Rt. 100, Rochester Village. Dean Mendell offers a full line of cross-country equiptment and snowshoes, lessons, rentals, and guided tours in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest and from inn to inn. His slogan is 'ski everywhere.'"

It is unclear whether Nordic Adventures ever offered an independently operated trail network and, despite its 2012 listing, it is unclear whether Nordic Adventures is still in operation in some capacity as the website is down and the listed number turns up as Occasions Catering at 13 School St., Rochester (the listed address for Nordic Adventures).
