Castleton State College

Castleton State College (CSC), located in Castleton, VT had a nordic ski team for a short time back in the early 90’s coached by Tom Heffernan and Peter Gallagher. Kristina Viljanen Sabasteanski skied on the team and later became an Olympian in biathlon in 1988 and 2002. Sabasteanski was inducted into the Castleton State College Athletic Hall of Fame along with Michael Gallagher. Gallagher was a three-time Olympic cross-country skier but didn’t ski for Castleton. After attending Colorado University (CU), Gallagher finished his BA degree at Castleton and graduated in 1976.
