The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum and Ferro Estate & Custom Jewelers in Stowe have partnered to create custom jewelry

altThe Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum and Ferro Estate & Custom Jewelers in Stowe have partnered to create a line of custom jewelry based on pieces from the museum’s extensive collection.

“We wanted to make a dazzling statement with this special pendant being placed in the silent auction,” says Bryan Ferro, the owner of Ferro Estate & Custom Jewelers. The components of the pendant are cast in 14K yellow and white gold and studded with fine brilliant cut diamonds.

“The beauty of this piece is that it can be cast in a variety of metals allowing us to offer the same design at different prices, and to make custom pieces,” explains Ferro. While the gold and diamond pendant expects to attract high bidders at the auction, a less expensive version in sterling silver will be for sale in the museum’s gift shop in time for the holidays.

altThe pendant is modeled after a pin originally owned by Erwin Schaeffer Lindner of Underhill, Vermont and donated to the museum by his son Brian. Linder was a member of the 10th Mountain Division and the first full-time, paid patrolman on the Mt. Mansfield Ski Patrol. He was Director from 1943-1947.

Customized orders are also available with different gemstones and metals.
