What was your experience in the 10th like?

"In retrospect, I enjoyed all aspects of life at Camp Hale. When the 10th moved to Texas in the summer of '44 for mule training etc the heat got to me and I signed up for OCS and went - never to rejoin the 10th but went to Hawaii instead (along with other ex 10th Mountain Div. Types).

"Joined the 10th Mtn from college - early 1943 - volunteered because I liked to ski and liked winter, cold, and mountains."
